I am a licensed psychologist in MD, DC, and NY.

 

I earned my B.A. in psychology at Columbia College, Columbia University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Connecticut.  I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services in New York City.  I have been working in private practice since 2002, with children, adolescents, families, and adults.  In addition to working in private practice, I worked for eight years at the Reginald S. Lourie Center for Infants and Young Children in Rockville, MD, providing a range of services including: psychological testing and individual and family psychotherapy treatment with infants, toddlers, preschool-, and school age children; work in the therapeutic preschool program; and work at the therapeutic school program for elementary school students with learning, emotional, and behavioral issues.  Additionally, I worked for three years at Alvord, Baker and Associates, a practice in Rockville, MD focused on using innovative and evidence-based interventions that build from clients' strengths to promote resilience and cognitive and behavioral change.

 

I also have significant experience working with children, adolescents, and families coping with trauma, abuse and neglect, loss, adoption, anxiety  disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (Asperger's), and problems of emotional and behavioral regulation.  Additional areas of expertise include comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational testing, as well as school consultation and advocacy.
